About Inner Sanctuary Wellness

Rowan discovered Chinese medicine shortly after moving to Portland to complete his undergraduate studies. He began my journey as a patient, but after several years of being an increasingly curious patient, he himself myself drawn into the formal study of this medicine.  In Chinese medicine, he found tools that helped him to transform himself, and which he have seen lead to dramatic positive shifts in patients. As a long-time community activist, he found myself wanting to help people on a more personal level, and in a way that would lead to lasting changes in people’s lives.

What has been a benefit of certification for your business?

I was able to get in-network with Moda as a culturally-specific provider, as a result of a meeting with someone in ORPIB. I had been trying for the last decade but they always told me that they didn't need more acupuncturists. Turns out knowing the right people helps!

What is LGBTBE® Certification?

LGBTBE® is a nationally-recognized certification for for-profit businesses that are majority owned and operated by a member of the LGBTQ+ Community. Like other “minority” certifications — woman-owned or veteran-owned, for example — the LGBTBE® certification can make a business eligible to win contracts with corporations and other entities which want to work intentionally with diverse suppliers.
