  • Organizational (not Individual) Member

  • For-profit business

  • Majority (51+%) owned by someone who identifies as LGBTQ+

  • Complete NGLCC certification process

  • For-profit businesses that are majority (51+%) owned and operated by someone who identifies as LGBTQIA2S+ are eligible to receive this certification.

  • The LGBTBE® certification connects your business with NGLCC’s corporate and government partners, who are committed to building diverse supply chains and spending billions annually with LGBTQ-owned enterprises. Certified businesses gain:

  • Certification is FREE for eligible ORPIB Members

    LGBTBE® Certification fees are waived for ORPIB Business members. Fees as of April 2025 are $899 for initial certification and $499 for renewing certification.

    Basic Business (Organizational) ORPIB Membership is $200 annually.

  • TGX (Transgender and Gender Expansive)- and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color)-owned businesses may qualify for free ORPIB membership when certified.

    4. Pass review by National Certification Committee

  • NGLCC has a list of all required documentation needed for your certification application. Some items that they will ask for may include the following:

    • Proof of membership with your local NGLCC Affiliate Chamber (eg, ORPIB)

    • Proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status

    • LGBTQ+ status qualifier demonstrating membership in the LGBTQ+ community, such as same-sex marriage certificate

    • Business / Enterprise Documents, including brief history of the business or startup plan, resume of LGBTQ+ owner(s)

    • Articles of organization or incorporation

    • Most recent tax return

    • Third-party agreements, such as service or lease agreements

  • Yes! Many ORPIB Members who have already received the LGBTBE Certification are eager discuss the process and offer advice to new applicants.

    ORPIB’s volunteer NGLCC Liaison, or a member our or staff, may conduct your site visit.
