VISION + SCOPE

Demonstrate & Celebrate

Demonstrate and celebrate the strength, creativity, and resilience of our LGBTQIA2S+ and Ally business community in the Portland Metro region! This one-day showcase will bring together entrepreneurs, community leaders, and supporters to connect, learn, and thrive together.

Starting Small

It’s easy to imagine how enormous, impactful, and amazing this event could be. This first year, our desire is to plan and host an event that brings together LGBTQIA2S+-owned businesses, allies, and supportive community members on a scale commensurate with our capacity that can continue to develop, iterate, and grow for many years to come.

Right-Sized Capacity

Our capacity is largely dependent on early commitments from sponsors, volunteers, and venue owners. This proposal is intended to communicate our initial vision, and then invite you into the process.

PURPOSE + GOALS

  • Show-off our vibrant, creative, and expansive LGBTQIA2S+ and Ally business community. 

  • Day-of sales and lead-generation for exhibitors.

  • Awareness of the active allyship of Showcase Event Sponsors, ORPIB’s Annual Sustaining Sponsors, and our Members throughout Oregon and SW Washington.

Demo Stage

Get to know some of our exhibitors as featured on the Demo Stage, co-hosted by Ron Popeil-inspired queer comedians. (B2C, B2B)

Networking Lounge

Join facilitated networking sessions throughout the day designed to help you make meaningful connections, whether you’re a business owner, nonprofit leader, entrepreneur, or individual professional. (B2B, w/possible hiring/career breakout)

Resource Hub

Business- & professional development and entrepreneur-support organizations to help you grow.

  • Venue requirements:

    • Capacity for exhibitors + attendees + networking areas (targeting 50 exhibitors)

    • Breakout rooms for facilitated networking (quiet/semi-private space)

    • Breakout space for Showcase Stage / Product Demos and Announcements

    • Accessibility (ADA compliance, all-gender restrooms, elevators/ramps)

    • Tech capabilities (Wi-Fi, A/V for announcements, screens/projectors, sound system, microphones, livestreaming if hybrid)

    • Convenient to public transport in the Portland Metro Area

  • Financial sponsorship packages starting a $2,000.

    Tiers and benefits will be shared once finalized and customization will be possible.
