Pride Season 2025
You won’t find an ORPIB table at Pride this year.
This is not because we don’t support Prides — we love them and we’re so grateful that these essential community gatherings exist!
There are two main reasons we’re skipping these festivals in 2025:
1. Prides are expensive to attend as an exhibitor. Most Prides charge vendor fees to table, and rightly so. Even small events have costs to offset, even before the organizers can imagine raising funds. Unfortunately, ORPIB is not in a place to be able to afford those vendor fees.
2. Our return on Pride events has been difficult to measure. In the past two years we’ve attended numerous pride festivals, handing out swag, meeting business owners, and trying to connect with potential new members and sponsors. For all of the miles traveled and swag distributed, we haven’t seen a much, if any, increased engagement as a result of our presence at Prides.
What ORPIB is doing instead of Pride this year:
We realized that at Pride festivals, ORPIB doesn’t stand out – and we’re definitely not the most exciting table to visit or show to watch at your average Pride. In a sea of rainbows, we’re the business rainbow. And who wants the business stuff when there are sno-cones and drag performances and art shows.
So for a while, we’re focusing on being present in spaces where ORPIB can stand out and make a bigger impact.
Below are some spots you can expect to find ORPIB out in the wild.
Beyond the Pride Flag: Becoming a Business Advocate for Equal Rights for All — June 4
LGBTQIA2S+ Business Networking and Community Building at Xanadu Astoria — June 5
OEN Reverse Pitch Event Central Oregon — June 18
Please see our calendar for all ORPIB Events.
